Yousef celebrates a year of 21st Century House music

Today sees the one year anniversary radio show of Yousef’s 21st Century House Music, the Liverpool reared DJ’s weekly exploration of house, techno and electronica. Over the last twelve months the hour long show has been streamed on the internet each and every Saturday via Ibiza Global Radio at 6pm, and then Digitally Imported at 8pm, as well as several others across the planet during the remainder of the week.
We nabbed him for a quick quote, and this is what he had to say about the show:
"It's been so much fun getting back into radio after a few years off. The show has been a great way to share a lot of music I love that perhaps sometimes I wouldn't get too play in a club, and it's a privilege to be able to get behind music that otherwise might go unheard."
Every Monday sees the show added to the DJ’s Soundcloud, which is also useful if the show was taken from a live set as it usually results in the remainder of the set being added. A rather glorious selection of music as part of his four hour set at the Shipping Forecast being a classic case in point.
Closer to home you can catch Yousef at Circus on Sunday 26th May alongside Marco Carola, Butch, Deetron and recent interviewees Gorgon City at the East Village Arts Club, and he’ll be releasing soon the details about Circus maiden voyage into the world of weekly events in Ibiza, at the soon to be launched Bomba.
