Each week, the guys at Mixmag welcome some of the biggest names in dance music into their lab. Providing a fast track to the weekend this week is revered label Dance Mania in the lab LDN and Pete Tong stopping by at the lab LA.
Installed for the working weeks' final hour at the slightly earlier time of 4pm, seminal imprint Dance Mania sends along label staples Tyree Cooper (below), Parris Mitchell and Bodyjack to fly its exemplary flag.
Answering for a stream of seminal cuts in the eighties, the label founded by Jesse Saunders spawned numerous house and acid house records that still populate record boxes today. It later defined the iconic sub genre ghetto house, a rolling, hyper sexualized sound that'll make its way into the lab on Friday afternoon - listen here.
Heading over to sunnier reaches for the LA edition of the lab, a man who needs no introduction, Pete Tong takes to the controls on Saturday morning (UK time).
Gatekeeper to the 'Essential Mix', and all out legend, he's a man who certainly knows how to swing a party. Responsible for the acclaimed 'All Gone Pete Tong' rave ups, he'll translate his party prowess and overall dance lordship into the LA lab for a barnstorming start to your Saturday morning - catch him on Mixmag TV here.
