Pete Tong announces brand new DJ Academy live from IMS Ibiza 2022

World-renowned broadcaster, record label executive and DJ extraordinaire, Pete Tong MBE has announced the launch of his first-ever DJ academy live at IMS Ibiza 2022 - The Pete Tong DJ Academy or PTDJA.

The brand-new project for 2022 has been developed and initiated in association with the Rome-based international music school, the MAT Academy - a leader in online tuition programmes. The online e-learning platform has been designed to guide aspiring DJs through the broad spectrum of skills required to become an acclaimed DJ and artist, with techno titan, Carl Cox also named as the co-founder of the project.

With over ninety lessons covering every aspect of vocation in DJing, the new academy will offer one of the most comprehensive programmes currently available to prospering talents. The PTDJA guides each student through how to operate and understand the equipment needed not only for the mixing process, but how to use it creatively when preparing for a set, sharing the technical knowledge fundamental to building a successful career in the industry.

As with any role in the music industry, business know-how is vital in helping aspiring artists to progress. Exposure to this often comes with experience, but Tong's course is said to help give those who choose to attend the academy a head start, offering advice for students on a range of important topics - from DJ booth etiquette and interacting with your peers, to how to run and effectively use social media to boost your profile, and where to find a booking agent and a manager. A one stop course that can be tailored to the user, suited to the beginner, but also those who have already mastered the basics.

Joining the team as partners and mentors are a host of industry heavyweights with years of experience, such as Carl Cox, Jamie Jones and Nicole Moudaber, alongside TSHA, one of the hottest acts around, plus MAT academy artists, The ReLOUD.
