Peter Hook & The Light will play a one-off show at Manchester’s Star & Garter on Friday 12th April 2024 with proceeds going to mental health text-support charity, Shout.
The ex-Joy Division and New Order bassist/co-founder comes to one of the city’s most intimate and adored music venues for a mind-blowingly intimate show which will include a Q&A with Hook and a Joy Division set with his band Peter Hook & The Light.
As well as raising much-needed funds for a vital charity, the gig will honour the memory of Joy Division’s Ian Curtis, who tragically died in 1980 following mental health issues. Star & Garter is also the new home to the reinstated mural of Curtis, which was unveiled ahead of World Suicide Prevention Day in September this year.
Since these tickets are super hot, the venue’s tiny, and it’s all about raising money for charity, for this one, “tickets” are actually ballot entries. One ballot entry costs £10, three entries cost £15, and 10 entries cost £20. So the more times you enter, the more likely you are to be one of the lucky 200 people to get into this intimate event. The ballot draw is on Friday 2nd February 2024, and each winner will be allocated two tickets to the event.
Buy as many ballot entries as you’d like at the bottom of this page - the more you get, the better your chances. Good luck!
