Our Weekend's Matter Podcast this time round comes from the sun drenched beaches and azure skies of the Adriatic coast, as ahead of The Electric Elephant Festival in July Pete Herbert delivers the latest installment of the podcast. Herbert’s quirkiness as both a producer and selector has seen him develop a reputation as a leftfield institution, blurring the lines between house, disco, italo dub and funk. This mix sees him elevate that lofty status further.
The Electric Elephant runs from 11th to the 15th July, taking place in the gorgeous confines of the Garden site in Tisno. Spread across two locations, the Beach Bar and the Main Stage, there’s also a late night club Barbarellas that provides an inspirational al fresco clubbing experience. And that’s not to mention the sea of boat parties aboard the infamous Argonaughty vessel that accompany the programme.
The podcast also rounds up the top five events this weekend as well, with nods to the huge Rockness festival, the Playground soiree in London, Trance Together's Second Anniversary, Face’s One Records showcase and last but by no means least, Back to Basics bringing Chicago resident Derrick Carter to Leeds.
