Pop Idol star Gareth Gates comes to Blackpool this June

After shooting to fame following his 2002 appearance on reality singing competition Pop Idol, Bradford singing star Gareth Gates has since gone on to develop a prominent career in music, including successful single releases and hit West End stages. Fresh off starring as part of the tour of the musical Footloose, Gates will come to VIVA Blackpool for an intimate performance with an acoustic band, promising live incarnations of original material as well as his favourite tracks to cover.

Having starred in West End greats such as Les Miserables and Boogie Nights during his solo music hiatus, this is his first independent expedition since his successful arena tour in 2004, which saw him take on Asia as well as the UK. Gareth returns for a special show as a part of Blackpool Pride's 2017 celebrations.
