Preston's G-Fest to become a free event

The decision came about as a result of feedback from the public. Cllr Peter Rankin, leader of Preston City Council, said:

"We have been listening to the feedback about how important it is to engage the next generation and we have taken the decision that Gfest should be a truly people’s festival and be totally free of charge."

The news comes following the announcement that Dappy will now no longer be performing at the festival, with Angel stepping in to take his place. 

Angel joins the likes of Labrinth, Maverick Sabre and Stooshe at this outdoor, all day event. 

Current ticket holders will be given full priority and will have the cost of their ticket refunded. 

Free wristbands will be available between 10am and 1pm on Avenham Park and 5pm-8pm from today on Preston Flag Market, on a striclt first come first served basis. 

Current GFest ticket holders will be given priority entrance to the festival on production of their original ticket, a refund will be available from Monday 10th September through the Guild Hall box office for cash purchases. For all other tickets (paid for by credit and debit cards) ticket holders will be contacted directly.
