Having only started working together in 2012, the world of underground house has positively bowed down to the combined force of Dyed Soundorom, Shonky, and Dan Ghenacia as their infectious live appearances across Europe have become increasingly exalted in stature.

For those that lamented the homogenisation of house music, acts like Apollonia have come along and breathed new life back into the beloved four four formula. Having worked separately for a number of years, the trios shared musical roots, tastes and creative visions served to do the inevitable and bring them together, creating one of the most celebrated forces in underground house.

Their label too has been turning out an endless display of discerning, stripped back house full of groove laden bass lines, percussive swagger and irresistible micro melodies, making it an undoubted flagship house imprint.

Their sets brilliantly brandish their love for house music in epic gigs where each member plays one record, then hands it over to the next to pick up where they left off. But its perhaps their refreshing audience connection that makes Apollonia really stand out from their contemporaries.

Their live set at BPM festival (at the top of the article, and something that drove us to obsession a couple of weeks ago) sees them chatting to ravers, drinking with them and smoking, totally relaxed, free of ego whilst simultaneously causing dance floor devastation.

Their arrival at The Mint Club on the 22nd of February sees them embark upon an almighty six hour set, as they dig through their record bags for some of the coolest cuts you're likely to hear. For genuine lovers of house this is unmiassable. You know what to do.
