Preview: BMF May Show, Peterborough

Britain’s most loved motorbike and trike celebration gets going this year at the Peterborough Arena from 17th - 19th May. With last years shows being extremely well received (despite some adverse weather conditions), the first in a trilogy of BMF Shows around the country is about to get underway, and adds even more to its impressive lineup.

Europe’s largest outdoor motorcycling event is set to showcase over 350 bike stands to an audience that will number in the thousands. Stunts, racing, and all manner of high octane hijinks will be in action. New for 2013, the ebullient organizers have announced their intention to host two brand new specialist areas: the Vintage & Classic area, and the Adventuring & Overland Touring area.

The Vintage & Classic Arena will be located in The Atrium, and will star classic and vintage bikes as well as exhibitors who specialize in the field, ideal for fans of the stunning heyday of vintage biking.

The Adventuring & Overland Touring area gives BMF attendees the chance to consult with experts and specialists with regards to any adventures or off road challenges they were planning on embarking. Travel companies will also be on hand to give advice, as will plenty of exhibitors. For any queries you have towards where to get the best direction on motorbiking holidays, you really need to look no further.

With growing focus on the diverse interests of motorcycle fanatics, the organizers have clearly kept the desires of the fans in mind by covering all bases, ensuring that there is something for everyone in attendance.

Plenty of evening entertainment is lined up to, with those camping not only getting exclusive entry to the show on Friday, but also being treated to 8 live bands throughout the weekend. As well as that we can look forward to the welcome return of the aptly named “Booze, Blues ‘n’ Bikers” Real Ale and Cider Bar. Over 30 real ales and ciders will be on tap for the masses, to the tune of live blues, creating a welcome respite from the petrol fuelled goings on. BMF will also feature a huge range of carefully selected food, live broadcasted racing, and movies displayed on the various big screens. No doubt you’ve realised just how much there is to enjoy at this years BMF - Peterborough.

We can’t sign off though without talking about the incredible atmosphere that BMF breeds. With people travelling from all over the country to be in attendance, you can expect a rapturous, enthusiastic, and friendly crowd, all drawn together with their common love for all things motorbike. It’s like a large family been drawn together with one common goal: to have a good time, and celebrate their shared passion.
