Convalescing from New Year’s Eve’s shenanigans, the Beats of Rage Crew have had time to collect their thoughts, dust themselves off, and grab a bucket load of new music. March the 28th shows off what they’ve been working on.
Showcasing the finest house, electro, bass music and techno DJs that Lancashire has to offer, Beats of Rage is back with a vengeance, to host another night of inappropriate dancing, heavy drinking, and filthy raving.
Beats of Rage welcome back Preston favourite Simba behind the decks. With his recent releases being signed to critically acclaimed Chicago-based label Stripped and Chewed, and his rip roaring sets exciting audiences around the country, his visit to Beats of Rage looks set to be something really special.
Alongside him will be another local favourite, Persia. As a DJ, Persia has been delighting fans of forward thinking bass music around the city for some time, his bang up to date knowledge of the scene and impeccable mixing style always provide a thrilling experience for lovers of the genre.
Part time Beats of Rage resident, and vinyl junkie Breadman will also be thrown into the mix. Breadman regularly blends a number of different genres into his sets, with one style crashing into the next, all the while creating a dancefloor friendly, and occasionally challenging narrative. Mike is one of a hardcore few vinyl DJs left in the scene, and his eclectic record box will be put to good use come Thursday night.
Beats of Rage mainstay and fan favourite Joe Hindle will be appearing under his new moniker NoFuture. The irony isn’t lost on us though, as his tireless DJing and incredible love for dance music permeates his sets, and sets him up for big things in the future. NoFuture’s dedicated approach to his track selection and passion for DJing really shine through, as he sets about whipping up the audience once more this coming Thursday.
And finally, we have Beats of Rage head honcho, veteran DJ, and incessant party starter Matt Fawbert, a.k.a The Filth Wizard. Matt has been a regular and much loved figure in the world of electro and house in Preston for the last 6 years. Having played all around the country over his illustrious career, Fawbert knows exactly what it takes to put on a fantastic party, and he delivers it by the truckload at Beats of Rage. His extensive knowledge of intelligent floor fillers and how to work the crowd are always a pleasure to be a part of.
This Easter Thursday the Beats of Rage event will be held upstairs at iconic Preston pub The Adelphi, right in the heart of Preston. With drink prices starting at £1 a pint, all the ingredients are there for one hell of a party.
Has easter weekend ever promised so much? We think not. Get involved!
