After ‘Heaven Scent’ blew up over dance floors across Britain at the end of the 90’s, it became clear that John Digweed and Nick Muir had made their mark as producers to watch out for. Having already made his name as a world class DJ through regular appearances at Renaissance and classic DJ mixes with Sasha, John Digweed’s domination of the underground house scene reached new heights with the release of his own label, Bedrock, beginning with the afforemntioned 'Heaven Scent'.

In no time at all Bedrock had become the go to imprint for discerning music lovers around the world, breaking away from the increasingly formulaic trance scene and forging a leaner darker sound with splashings of uplifting melody that captured the imagination.
With everyone from Jimmy Van M, to the Digweed discovered Moonface, Oliver Lieb to Danny Howells’ Science Dept and Steve Lawler to Guy Gerber, the Bedrock label has been instrumental in releasing to the masses work from some of the industries most acclaimed producers and most exciting up and comers, and has in its 15 years remained at the forefront of dance music innovation, laying down the gauntlet for other labels.
Featuring music that ranges from deep house to breaks and techno to ambient, John Digweed has always managed to combine exciting new talent with more established artists, and indulge in pioneering new sounds ahead of the field. The results have staggering, and continues to pull in new fans. The 'John Digweed Live in...' mix CDs have brilliantly shown off the eclectic tastes and forward thinking approach taken by the label.

The Bedrock brand has since gone on to tour the world, with successful club nights being held everywhere from Argentina to America, Japan to Russia, and Greece to China, even hosting its own festival stages at SW4 and Global Gathering. The legendary birthday parties, that were once held at Heaven have long been one of the highlights of the underground dance music calendar, and with the 15th birthday party ahead, we can expect the same high end production, cutting edge line ups and of course one of the most talented DJs on the planet, John Digweed to throw a party that celebrates everything that his label has become so respected for.
