Liverpool’s Studio 2 is set to be taken over by Big Fist records as they celebrate their house sound in a label showcase for the first time. Headline duties are shared by a mixture of the old and new, with future hero Ant Brooks dovetailing with none other than Liverpool legend Paul Bleasdale.
Brooks has earned the support of no less an authority than Mr Essential himself, Pete Tong, and knocked out recordings on the likes of CR2, Toolroom and Michael Woods’ Diffused Music. Bleasdale needs little introduction, the former Cream resident back to his furtive best after a hiatus and still one of the biggest draws on Merseyside.
Support comes in the shape of another hero of the Liverpool scene, John Cotton, a man who is so revered on the afterparty circuit in the city he has more birthdays than the queen. The Big Fist residents round off the event.
