Cutloose reach the end of another glorious year of action that has seen the likes of Tako & Abel, Sean P, Daniele Baldelli and Idjut Boys grace the Manchester night.
Their birthday continues in the same vein that has stood Cutloose in such good stead. Relentlessly booking genre eluding acts from right across the world with a fiercely forward thinking approach, Cutloose have been responsible for bringing to Manchester a number of exclusives and one offs. To headline their birthday is a group that fits that booking philosophy perfectly.
Cos/Mes - Natural Lifespan
Cos/Mes definitely own a sound unheard of elsewhere. Lying somewhere in between house, disco, downtempo, balearic and cosmic jazz, Koji Hanazato and Takenori Goto have forged for themselves a sound uniquely their own. Their latest album Snaker 001 has seen the Japanese duo further refine their cool esoteric sound, yet again redefining their distinct and yet hard to describe approach to electronic music. With each track taking you on a psyched out, percussive, journey through the dimensions, their sound has reached an audience right across the globe, their talent and irreverence to genre a thrill to witness.
Hound Love - Be OK (Cos/Mes Remix)
They will be joined my fellow countryman Chida, a relative newcomer but one that has been making all the right noises. Expect watery soundscapes filled with equal measures of beauty and dread, chugging along with phat bassline and synth work accompanied with plenty of reverberating alien sounds.
The 21st September sees a very rare performance indeed from these three music pioneers, a totally unmissable experience for connoisseurs of cutting edge electronica.
