Something very special is happening in the world of dance music at the moment. As house and techno continue to progress from their early roots, some producers are managing to successfully blend old styles, with new, and create something completely original. DJs aren't sticking to just one style, but creatively wading between genres at will, and creating an exhilarating tapestry within their sets.
Dusted Future are proud to present one of the finest examples of this movement, Sascha Dive. Lauded across Europe for his unique vision and forward thinking production skills, Frankfurt based Sascha is becoming one of the brightest stars, and hottest names around. Signed initially to Sven Vath’s label, Cocoon, and now with his own label Deep Vibe Recordings, Sascha never fails to deliver. As a DJ, Sascha Dive has been causing waves his willingness to combine the old with the new, light with dark, heavy with subtle; creating his own, sophisticated, and yet squarely dancefloor aesthetic.
Alongside him is Yorkshire lad Denney. Heralded by Mixmag as a 'Future Hero', and causing somewhat of a fuss on the scene with both dancefloors and producers, Denney has been challenging and thrilling audiences in equal measure with his own vision of deep, twisted, techno and acid house. His latest release 'Ultraviolet' on the Hot Creations imprint has set dancefloors around the world alight, with it getting support from giants such as Sasha and MANDY. And with plenty of high profile gigs under his belt, from Pete Tong’s Wonderland, to Berlin’s MIKZ, Denney’s popularity is set to continue growing.
The ever impressive Dusted residents Pete Smith and Carlo Gambino appear alongside gifted Future residents Ste Guthrie and Sean Peacock to complete the all killer, no filler line-up.
The Dusted launch event was one of the most memorable events in Manchester for a long while, and this time, housed in The fantastic Joshua Brooks Venue (winner of Manchester’s ‘Best Venue Award’ two years running) - Dusted Future’s second night of unbridled electronic mayhem looks set to raise the bar yet again.
