The Friday before Christmas... one of the most notorious nights on the clubbing calendar heralds in a time to have one last fling before family festivities kick in. Goodgreef pick up the mantle and return once again to Newcastle's finest three roomed venue to throw an almighty party on a night where trance music’s finest artists and DJs combine to bring in Xmas in style.
Future Sound of Egypt 309
Future Sound of Egypt bosses Aly & Fila headline Goodgreef’s christmas installment at Digital. As perhaps the most powerful duo in trance music, Aly & Fila have been forging a new pathways and new approaches to their beloved genre since bursting onto the scene in 2003 with their seminal single 'Eye of Horus' - one the biggest trance hits of that year. Since then they have developed a trademark uplifting, euphoric blend of upfront, orgasmic trance, that works on both an emotional and physical level.
This year has seen Aly & Fila drop their second long player to an outstanding reaction, rinsed by the trance elite at venues right across the globe. Their iconic radio show Future Sound of Egypt (above) hit the 300 mark, with celebratory shows taking place everywhere from Sharm-El-Sheikh to Buenos Aires, cementing their legendary status worldwide. Their arrival in Newcastle for Goodgreef mad Friday rave up will be an unmissable chance to see two of trance music’s royalty tear up a dance floor with some of the most beautiful and uplifting trance you’re likely to witness.
Andrew Rayel 'Mystery of Aether'
Joining Aly & Fila will be one of the hottest new talents in trance - Moldova born Andrew Rayel. Since the age of 13, Andrew has been churning out inspired, forward thinking productions taking in elements of classical music, chopped up vocals, strings, pianos and powerful synth workouts that have made the trance fraternity sit up and take note. Frequently favoured by Armin Van Buuren, Tiesto, Markus Schulz and Bobina, Andrew Rayel is establishing himself more and more in the world of dance music, resulting in being ranked number 28 in the world courtesy of DJ Mag.
Other highlights for Goodgreef’s festive freak out include appearances from Bryan Kearney, Si Whelan, James Cottle and James Dymond amongst others. Goodgreef have got all the ingredients in place to throw down one of the finest trance nights in the north for a good while, don't sleep on it!
