Preview: Hospitality presents High Contrast & S.P.Y

Edinburgh's favourite underground dance music haunt - Liquid Rooms, gets set to host the latest installment of Hospitality, perhaps one of the biggest drum 'n' bass nights in the country. The guys at Hospitality have snared some of the biggest d'n'b producers in the world over their impressive careers, and their forthcoming soiree on the 24th August is set to continue in that rich vein of form.

High Contrast - If We Ever

First up is the legendary High Contrast. The Welsh drum 'n' bass wizard has in his 13 year career been responsible for some of the most seminal drum 'n' bass productions of our times. His own brand of liquid funk and high tempo d 'n' b has set him apart from the rest in his field, showing incredible dexterity and uniqueness that only he knows how. With his 2007 mix for Radio One being chosen as the 'Essential Mix of the Year' by Pete Tong, High Contrast established himself as not only a gifted producer, but a serious talent behind the decks. The Hospital records favourite’s arrival at Hospitality is hotly anticipated.

S.P.Y - What The Future Holds

Joining him will be Brazilian d'n'b hero S.P.Y. Beginning his turntable love affair at the age of 12, Carlos Lima has become one of the Sao Paulo drum ‘n’ bass elite, alongside DJ Marky, Patife and Drumagick. Another Hospital records favourite, the rising star of drum ‘n’ bass has become renowned for his trademark sound of heavy, soulful beats, which has seen him in demand the world over. With gigs everywhere from Australia to the US, Russia to New Zealand, and just about everywhere in between, his appearance at the Liquid Rooms will be an unmissable moment for d'n'b heads.

Hospitality will also feature guest slots from the incredible Nu:Logic, Fred V & Grafik, Eno, Gmac, MC Dynamite, MC Wrec and MC BZ.
