Bristol electronic music event exponents In:Motion have had a stunning 2013. It's involved parties with the likes of Hypercolour Records, Black Butter, Edible, Skreamizm, STB, Carl Cox, and Just Jack, continuing a commitment to bringing the most forward thinking and hotly revered record labels and promoters down to their home, Motion nightclub, nestled right in the heartbeat of the West Country metropolis.
Their New Year's Eve bash epitomises the cross genre excellence the events have become renowned for, with a heavy nod towards the bass bolstered dance music synonymous with Bristol. The main room, entitled Response, ripples with electronic effervescence. Bondax headline, the duo behind some of the year's biggest smashes in 'Gold' and 'Giving it all', bringing their bass driven sonics to the fore (check them out above in the Mixmag DJ Labs).
They'll be joined by T.Williams, the rinse stalwart who has recently been making plenty of waves elsewhere on the radio with his slot on BBC Radio One's 'In New Music We Trust' series. Garage legend Zed Bias and Mele, partnered by Slick Don, also make for a particularly strong main room.
The Warehouse will reverberate to the sounds of drum & bass, with DJ Hype heading up a bill that also includes Sigma, Fred V & Grafix, Skeptical and Break, as well as MCs IC3, Texas, Carasel and Remidy. Gutterfunk helm the tunnel with Bristollian royalty DJ Die joined by Addison Groove and New York Transit Authority, whilst a classics set form the Freestylers in the Cave rounds off a superb exploration of bass music.
