The legendary 422 Music guys have teamed up with Play to throw a rave of epic proportions. With only the finest DJs and producers in their sights, the Manchester based party starters have invited a mouthwatering selection for your audible pleasure.
First up is none other than Jesse Rose. Since the turn of century Jesse had established himself as a DJ worthy of note. Twisting the template of house music has become his signature, and one he has continued to do with devastating effect. His appearances on Switch’s Dubsided label back in 2006 saw his introduction of mixing & dropping sounds from other genres into his tracks, rather than just looping them. Some of his biggest hits such as ‘A-Sided’ & ‘You’re All Over My Head’ show off this unique approach, gaining favour with DJs and dance floors alike as he proved himself as a talented producer that thinks outside of usual parameters.

Described as “One of the best DJs in the world right now” by Mixmag, Jesse’s continued world domination of his own brand of off kilter house, taking him from Fabric in London, to Panorama Bar Berlin, Womb in Tokyo to Avalon in Los Angeles (where he is now based), as well as just about every major club in between. Now running his third label and writing his fourth studio album, Jesse is very much a prolific force to be reckoned with in the world of underground house music. Despite his numerous years in the game, he remains very much at the forefront of electronic music innovation. His set at Gorilla will be unmissable.
Jesse will be joined by the heroine of bassmusic: Hannah Wants. Very much a star on the rise, Hannah has become one of the most sought after DJs on the market in the last year or so.

Since starting out in the late 90s, her passion for DJing, overwhelming talent, and sheer determination eventually paid dividends, thrusting her into the limelight in 2010 in one seriously impressive season, which saw her invited to play Es Paradis, Eden, Viva and Space. Since DJing alongside the likes of Annie Mac, Justin Martin, Shadow Child, Disclosure, Jaguar Skills, Danny Howard, Huxley, SBTRKT, Roska, Jamie George, Redlight, Magnetic Man, Mak & Pasteman and XXXY, as well as regularly appearing in the biggest clubs in the country and Ibiza, the Birmingham born DJ has made a real name for herself, as her genre spanning, high energy and enthusiastic approach to her craft has set her apart from so many. The future is very bright indeed for Hannah Wants. (Read our interview with her here)
Rounding off the impressive lineup is Bad Osiris' and KEE’s new project Acropolis Sound. The two have gained recognition from merging their own distinct styles to create something truly fantastic. Their debut EP ‘U Down’ demonstrated this perfectly, and his really struck a chord with the Manchester underground. The local favourites are definitely ones to watch.
