Preview: Jika Jika! presents John Digweed and Ivan Smagghe

Legendary DJs John Digweed and Ivan Smagghe will be paying a visit to one of Northern Ireland's most popular underground club nights Jika Jika! on Saturday 23rd August to play extended sets at Tooban Donegal. 

Jika Jika! began as an outlet for house and techno music in Derry with the aim of bringing new and exciting sounds to the city whilst giving quality DJs and producers the opportunity to showcase their skills. They strive to bring like-minded music lovers together without the constraints of typical commercial clubbing.  

This dynamic approach to events makes Jika Jika! the ideal place for a massively influential dance music artist such as Digweed to take revellers on the ultimate three-hour-long rave journey. 

He has successfully established himself as one of the true greats. He's been at the forefront of electronic music since the early nineties and has the ability to control crowds with pulsating techno, enormous drops and punchy rhythms (for a taste of what to come check out his Bedrock promo mix above).

Digweed is one half of the Bedrock production duo and has landed two tracks in the Top 40, highlighting just how much his music is enjoyed by the masses. 

Also playing on the 23rd for three hours will be Smagghe. Alike to his partner-in-crime and spiritual brother Andrew Weatherall, Smagghe bounces between raw, obscure grooves and bouncy electro, mixing dancefloor-driven tracks with otherworldy sounds (check out one of his extended mixes above).
