New event time. Liverpool's vibrant Baltic Quarter pays host to another fresher than fresh start up at the beginning of next month, with MODU:LAR aiming to bring a fresh impetus to the electronic music scene in Liverpool. A joint project between Josh Boyd and mUmU resident Scott Grant (who'll be djing at the event), the party has been set up to explore the more underground strains of house, techno and electronica, and the first event lays down the mandate in convincing fashion at Haus Warehouse.
Headlining will be the youngest member of the Romanian house music collective a:rpia:r Dan Andrei. The movement originally started as three of the nation's leading house music DJs but has since gone on to encompass an imprint dedicated to unearthing exciting talent and fostering an exciting stable of artists - two areas Andrei aids the collective goal brilliantly with.
Also playing will be starlet Ion Ludwig, a man who has the backing of influential London collective Toi Toi and seduced Fabric at the tail end of last year with his cleverly crafted grooves (check his mix for them above). Also joining resident and promoter Grant will be Leroy Roberts from London based Toast Underground - head here for tickets.
