Off the Rails recently celebrated six years as one of the nations most revered trance parties and the signs are that their seventh year will prove to be just as illustrious. This Friday at Sheffield’s Plug they will be partnering up in with ColdHarbour Recordings, Markus Schulz’s record label. The imprint is an offshoot of Armada, owned by legendary DJ Armin van Buuren, so suffice to say they know a thing or two about a euphoric record.
Headlining will be Colombian DJ Khoma, who as well as receiving the support of Armin and Markus has also been heavily played by Sander van Doorn and Tiesto. Tracks like ‘Mind Gamer’ and the above ‘The Dark Knight’ hint at his style, and he’ll be making his first ever UK appearance at the event.
Also playing will be Mr Pit, one of the cornerstones of the label, as well as another UK debut for Dutch producer Aerofoil. Support comes in the shape of OTR residents Hidden Agenda and North-West tag team Pobsky and Paul Atkinson. The night lasts till six am, meaning the promise of rip roaring tunes is accompanied by the rare experience of leaving a club to daylight.
