Preview: OYTH presents… Robert Babicz [3 hour exclusive live set]

House and techno has always been a predominant force in the city of Leeds, where you'll find a range of some of the best underground club nights there is to offer. The latest addition to the family is OYTH, with a launch scheduled at Eiger Studios this February.

Some of you will recognise Eiger Studios as the second room of Vox Warehouse and some of you will recognise the club as a venue in its own right. Based just outside the city centre, its quirky features allow for a cool and intimate space, a great place to formulate the first chapter of an up and coming night such as OYTH.

When asked about the where the night comes from, creator Jack Law talks about how it all started out as an online community of friends, sharing what they perceived to be a range of the best tunes in underground house and tech. "The group got so popular that it seemed a no-brainer to create a night for the loyal followers, a place for us to get together and share our passion for the music."

After a season in Ibiza, the two promoters behind OYTH came back to Leeds with a fresh outlook on the clubbing scene, and a plan to bring something new and different to the city. This is reflected by their headliner. Dubbed by Pete Tong as the 'craftsman', Cologne's Robert Babicz appears in Leeds for the very first time with an exclusive 3 hour live set. Babicz' sound is unique; deep techno spanning from ambient, to euphoric, to acid. The intimate 400 capacity crowd are in for a treat as he showcases the sound of Babicszstyle – his Leeds debut is surely not one to be missed!

Support comes in the form of the OYTH residents and Tomorrowaudio's Marko Randelovic, all set to host one hell of party.
