Fresh from a blistering reunion party at Durham's Rainton Meadows Arena, Retro return to ramp up the ante to dizzying new heights as the world beating brand turn the ripe old age old 24.

It's been a staggering 24 years at the top, with residencies held in Ibiza and right across the country drawing in huge crowds and en ever growing fan base that has put Retro firmly into legendary status. Saturday 9th November sees Retro return to its spiritual home in Teeside, as TFM Soundstation in Middlesbrough hosts a very special retro line up indeed.

One of the founding fathers of house music, a genuine innovator and one of the scenes most important figureheads - Marshall Jefferson, heads up Retro's hotly anticipated birthday blowout. Since his release 'Move Your Body' hit Larry Sherman's iconic Trax record label in 1986, Marshall Jefferson's name was truly etched into house music consciousness for good.

Marshall Jefferson - Move Your Body

Being the first house track to feature piano, Marshall had unknowingly laid down a precedent for generations to come. His trailblazing continued as he took to deep house, creating a slew of scene stealing, ground breaking works. Alongside Frankie Knuckles, Marshall Jefferson became the first members of the Chicago house elite to tour the UK, introducing the UK to a sound that would change the face of clubbing for good. His headlining set will be monumental.

Paul Taylor's Retro Mix One

Retro main man Paul Taylor will also be getting in. A firm fan favourite, Paul Taylor has become synonymous with Retro as a brand, shaping its musical journey throughout the years and establishing himself simply as a master of all things house. It's difficult to think of any other DJ that has quite the mastery of the old skool as Paul, and his adept skill of getting any party fired up has meant him becoming one of the most celebrated British DJs ever.

Matt Peverell rounds off a blistering soundtrack to Retro's 24th birthday. Unmissable old skool antics once again from Retro.
