The EDM scene at the moment is crammed with young pretenders and forward thinking producers all being hailed as the next big thing as the EDM monolith continues to take over the world of popular music.

Few though can actually live up to that mantle as well as 23 year old Mat Zo. The self proclaimed genre smasher has in his relatively short career produced some of the most category escaping music around, none more so than his huge hit ‘Bipolar’ and the blissful funk classic ‘Easy’, which he teamed up with wunderkind Porter Robinson for.

Gaining support from artists as wide ranging as Swedish House Mafia, Skrillex, Above & Beyond and Tiesto, Mat Zo’s music has been a constant feature of the biggest dance festivals across the world for the last few years.

The man himself has been in demand, appearing at Electric Zoo in New York, Creamfields in Australia, and South West Four in London to riotous receptions.

With his recent Radio One Essential Mix taking in tracks from Sasha to Burial, and Noisia to Daft Funk, the young impresario shows his talent as bringing together influences from right across the musical spectrum to create a sound uniquely his own.
