The Garden site in Tisno is going to be the home for a wide variety of festivals over the course of the summer, one being Suncebeat. Very much dripping with a classic American influence in its palette, it features a headline turn from the enigmatic and elusive Moodymann alongside other luminaires from the States, including Kenny Dope, Derrick Carter, Mark Farina and Joe Claussell.
Set on the Dalmation Coast, the site is one of the most beautiful and chilled across Europe and the perfect environment to enjoy music of a deeper persuasion. If you like your beats tinged with jazz, cut with funk and imbued in soul, then the azure skyline and sun-kissed shores are the perfect backdrop for it.
To give you a flavour we dug out this classic radio interview between Moodymann and another of the festival’s acts, Gilles Peterson, broadcast on his radio show way back in 2007.
