Tangled has established itself as one of Manchester’s longest running and most highly respected club nights. Having moved around the city over the years, this Easter sees it return to one of the citiy's finest dance venues, Sound Control, which will provide the best possible atmosphere to this ever impressive club night.
With a following of fans who really know and love their music, and a knack of signing big name, legendary DJs, Tangled have never let a crowd down. This Easter’s edition is going to be no different.
This Easter sees Tangled welcome Darren Emerson, DJing veteran and integral part of the underground music scene. Originally a member of Underworld (when they were at their most potent), and later a globe trotting DJ, well respected remixer, and prolific producer, Darren Emerson has one hell of a following, and puts on one hell of a show. His set at Sound Control will bare all the hallmarks of a DJ performing right at the top of his game.
Joining him are Welsh legends, and breaks pioneers Hybrid. The Swansea based three piece burst onto the scene with one of the most beautiful pieces of dance music ever recorded, ‘Finished Symphony’, and later followed it with their album ‘Wide Angle’, which showcased their unique marriage of dance and orchestration. Hybrid have continued to blossom, with their sound evolving along the way. What remains the same though, is their ability to both thrill and transfix their audience. Their opening set for the night is highly anticipated, and is bound to provide a breathtaking experience.
Justin Rushmore will also be joining the lineup under his Soul of Man moniker, to bring with him an exclusive Finger Lickin’ records DJ set. Finger lickin’ have been at the forefront of the breakbeat movement for years, and Justin Rushmore will be bringing a typically awesome, energetic set, loaded with funk, techno, electro house with, of course, a backbone of breaks.
Tangled certainly know how to throw a party, and Easter Thursday’s instalment at Sound Control is all set to be the perfect soundtrack to your Easter weekend.
