As part of his momentous tour to support the release of his brand new album Bella, acclaimed singer/songwriter Teddy Thompson returns to The Masque Theatre on Wednesday 2nd of February 2011.
Thompson's trademark blend of catchy song-craft, pensive emotional insight and good–natured black humour is present on such new tunes as 'In My Arms', 'What's This?!!' 'Don't Know What I Was Thinking' and the bitter-sweet, fatalistic 'Turning the Gun On Myself'.
Produced by David Kahne, Bella combines lean rock and roll with lush string arrangements.
Joining Teddy on the bill will be David Ford, who first achieved prominence with indie rock band Easyworld. Ford branched into a solo career and has become known for both the sheer passion he puts into his songs, and for being a master at the layered/looping effect he uses so skilfully. Think clever song writing, think clever pop.
