Carlisle's plucky upstarts Uber have attracted yet another steller lineup to their home at Merienda, including Joris Voorn, DJ Sneak and David Glass.

We do love a plucky underdog at Skiddle, and they don’t come much more unexpected than Carlisle promoters Uber. The northern city isn’t the first place you think of as a world class dance music destination but Uber have been primarily responsible for changing that assumption over the past few years, dropping eye popping line-ups on a regular basis.
Across their history they’ve brought US heavyweights such as Justin Martin, Sandy Rivera and Kenny Dope as well as national treasures of the UK scene Annie Mac, Pete Tong and Calvin Harris, and last year did something unthinkable when they put on a day and night party in the Merienda with a line-up that would seem more at home in a festival tent. They’ve now done it again, with May 5th seeing a return of the infamous Uber Night and Day Bank Holiday party.
Where the house and techno talent of last year’s effort read Derrick Carter, Slam, Tim Green, Yousef and Alex Metric, this time round the headline duties are shared between DJ Sneak and Joris Voorn, the latter currently riding high off his underground re-imagining of Swedish House Mafia’s ‘Don’t you Worry Child’. Support then comes in the shape of house hybrid hero Huxley, rising talent David Glass and the recently added to the bill Crazy P Soundsystem providing a daytime tour de force. Once again we would like to remind you that this is happening in Carlisle.
As you’d expect tickets for this one are flying out quicker than Usain Bolt and with the skies finally starting to radiate one or two shards of sunshine the event is understandably building a fervent buzz. We’ll also be speaking to David Glass about the event shortly.
