Under and Gorilla will be welcoming one of the most revered DJs on the planet to Manchester for the first weekend in August, by bringing Radio Slave to the City. The most recognisable production moniker for Matt Edwards, Radio Slave has been a name synonymous with fans of quality underground music for over a decade. originally a duo (second member Serge Santiago left in 2002), Radio Slave's sound has progressed from an early grounding in electroclash to the groove drenched style of present, detouring through bleep driven acid house in the process.
Also the man behind the scintillating record label Rekids which has pushed music via Luke Solomon and Mr G, not to mention bringing to the wider global attention a certain Nina Kraviz, Radio Slave's list of classic tracks is endless, including 2008's tunnel techno anthem 'Grindhouse'.
As well as being a revered producer, Radio Slave remains a dancefloor doyen due to his effortless command of them, dropping DJ sets that drip in subtlety. Having mixed compilations for the likes of Fabric and Misch Masch, and currently enjoying an eye-catching reisdnecy at ANTS at Ibiza's Ushuaia, Radio Slave remains a highly regarded DJ. Support comes from Under’s resident DJs, Fran & Henshaw, Tom Neatis and a special guest set from Half Full’s Jordan Turbill.
