With last months re:format going down an absolute storm with trance legends Signum at the helm, the next installment of Manchester’s underground trance night re:format on Saturday 27th April at Bassment has a hell of a lot to live up to. But boy, have they delivered!
This Saturday will see the legendary Dutch producer Menno De Jong taking a trip across the channel to bring to the trance underground his wondrous and unique take on trance music. With the promise of playing a whopping three hour set, Menno is preparing to take us on a magical tour of everything the genre has to offer, from the slower more melodic and chilled side of the tracks, to the downtown chaotic fast paced mayhem of the harder styles.
Having played in over 25 countries in his illustrious career, including at huge institutions such as Godskitchen, Gatecrasher, Amnesia, and alongside Armin Van Buuren, Tiesto, and Paul Van Dyk, Menno De Jong is a DJ with as much experience as you’re likely to encounter.
His recording career has been equally as impressive, being signed to some of the biggest trance labels in existence, and running his very own independent label Intuition Recordings, which also host the hugely popular Intuition Radio Show.
We can’t wait to see what he has in store for this Saturday, as Manno will showcase all his DJing talent into what promises to be an unforgettable 3 hours.
