Dance music producer David Holmes has revealed details about the forthcoming Noel Gallagher album. Last week, Holmes picked up the award for 'Best Television Soundtrack' at the Ivor Novello's for his work on BBC Two's 'London Spy'. Turning his attentions to the former Oasis guitarist's next album, he told Gigwise:
"Yeah it's going really good. We're a good bit into it now , we've got nearly five tracks done now. I think people love Noel and they're desperate for him to make a really big, bold up tempo beast of a record- a lot of Noel's music is quite mid-tempo. This one is quite fun."

Holmes added little else in the way of sonic influences, but revealed Noel has tapped into some more experimental sounds:
"It's not for me to say what it sounds like, you'll have to wait and see. He's a brilliant guitar player and he's really getting into guitar pedals and stuff. He's got two great ears."
Noel Gallagher brings his High Flying Birds to a host of dates this summer and will appear at Kendal Calling and Lytham festival. See the full list of upcoming Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds gigs.
