In a clubbing climate where so many events are led by underground house and techno nights, Hustle provides a refreshingly different spin, offering the best in disco and old skool house music and welcoming some of the genre's pioneers to their spiritual home, The Magnet in Liverpool.

Hustle have been executing nights with a retro vibe, quality music and star-studded line ups with ease over the years (you can read our review of their Boxing Day event here), and we've had a look at what the city's prime funk providers have lined up for Liverpool's discerning revellers next.

Hustle are set to partner up with forward-thinking house and groove enthusiasts Jolt on Saturday 18th April, enlisting Karizma to provide the soundtrack for their joint party. The Baltimore born DJ and producer is hailed as a house legend, he makes up the other part of The Basement Boys group with DJ Spen and responsible for some of the most played house music in the world. Grab your tickets.

Onto the bank holiday, and Hustle have put together something extra special for the occasion. On Friday 1st May it's Derrick Carter Does Disco, with the dance music aficionado playing a selection of his favourite groove and funk tracks (listen above for a taste) for a special extended set. He'll be joined by Rahaan. Head here for your tickets

Hustle and Jolt come together again on Sunday 24th May for the second bank holiday of the month for a full day session complete with a BBQ. Mark Farina will be providing the beats for both the day and the night time, with the day venue yet to be announced. Farina is renowned for his acid jazz and downtempo works, a combination perfectly suited to the party he's playing. Tickets are available here

Fast forward to Saturday 13th June and the well-respected New Yorker Frankie Feliciano (above) is set to provide the beats. Frankie was introduced to house through his cousins who were regulars at Paradise Garage, and he's now praised for his technical skills and his ability to remix true classics. If you want to see him in action, head here for tickets
