There's no doubting that Now Wave's 2013 campaign saw the Manchester promoters really go up a gear. With a bulging roster that saw them enlisting the talents of everyone from Bonobo, Baths, Dutch Uncles and Machinedrum, Now Wave further established themselves as a forward thinking unit with their finger on the pulse when it comes to up and coming, under the radar music.

It's with that in mind that we've taken a quick look ahead to their upcoming run of shows, eager to see what else Now Wave will be bringing to Manchester in the early stages of 2014.

Adam Green - 23rd January

First on the menu is Moldy Peaches main man and Anti-folk hero Adam Green. Brought to wider attention through his work used on the soundtrack to Jason Reitman's critically lauded movie 'Juno' alongside fellow vocalist Kimya Dawson, Green crafted a sound that seemed both familiar and yet completely original. Since then he has released eight incredibly well received studio albums, as his prolific creativity seems to know no bounds. Not to be missed.

East India Youth - 30th January

Now Wave team up with Grey Lantern on the 30th of January to bring William Doyle, AKA East India Youth to Manchester. Having caught his break after music website the Quietus loved his music so much they formed their own record label just to get it out there, William Doyle has gone on to be in serious demand around the country as his own brand of atmospheric, haunting pop has struck a chord with discerning fans. Make sure you see what all the fuss is about.

Bill Callahan - 3rd February

A master of stripped back beauty, Bill Callahan, or Smog as he was previously known arrives in Manchester with brand spanking new material in tow. Instantly recognisable from his stark, unmoved, world weary vocal talents, Bill Callahan has been quietly forging for himself a reduced but unique sound that has drawn many admirers.

Forest Swords -  8th February

Liverpool based soloist Forest Swords is next in Now Waves sights. With a ruggedly distinct, tripped out dub meets post rock vibe, drenched in reverb, echo and held together with tribal drum patterns, Forest Swords is a creative force that definitlely emerges from another plane. Prepare to be utterly transfixed by the Wirral based sonic pioneer, who will be playing material from latest album 'Engravings' - one of last year's hidden classics.
