Promoter Focus: Rong, Manchester

It’s already been an incredible year for Rong, having held legendary parties everywhere from London to Glasgow, Manchester to Middlesbrough, and most recently co-hosting an arena at Mint Festival with electrifying results. Now just over three years old, Rong have achieved more than most longer running club nights. With consistently intelligent bookings and a an ever increasing band of loyal trance devotees providing that unique Rong atmosphere, the Manchester based promoters have time and again put on parties that have astounded. We take a quick look at what the rest of this year holds for one of the nations freshest and most loved trance brands.

Solarstone presents Pure Trance

First up is 8th November, where Rong treats its home crowd to a night of 'Pure Trance' at Venus. Legendary producer and DJ Solarstone brings his world beating Pure Trance party to Manchester’s trance fiends, and if his shows in Ibiza this year are anything to go by, this is going to be an absolute monster.

Having hosted almighty rave ups aboard Driftwood’s Boat Parties, as part of Ferry Corsten's Full On night at Eden, as well as head up Egg London’s Trance Sanctuary, Solarstone is one of the busiest men in trance and with good reason. Since the mid nineties he has been responsible for some of the most euphoric, mood altering, game changing productions, gaining favour with the likes of Armin Van Buuren, Paul Van Dyk, Tiesto, and Ferry Corsten, Solarstone continues to be one of the scenes MVPs - to quote Mixmag, he’s 'Top dog when it comes to melodic monsters'. One of the leading lights of the nu breed of trance Sneijder joins him, as does Photographer. This one’s going to be special.

Zoom Xmas Party

With Xmas fast approaching, Rong team up with fellow kings of trance in the north Goodgreef and Zoom for a welcome return of the brand to The Arches in Glasgow. Last time these guys teamed up saw one of the most insane opening parties in a long time, with Jordan Suckley, Marco V and Simon Patterson treating the crowd to an epic journey of upfront, uplifting trance.

This time out Egyptian trance fathers Aly & Fila headline, with Bryan Kearney and Matt Hardwick in tow. Rong bring to the party Poland’s finest electronic music export Arctic Moon, a favourite on Aly & Fila’s Future Sound OF Egypt label, and fast becoming one of the fastest rising talents in his field. Rong favourites Photographer, Adam Ellis and James Rigby are just some of the other players involved for this 21st December Scottish take over.
