Famed for championing the wonder years of UK garage, house and more, the nationwide success story of Sun City continues to gather momentum as it launches into the sunnier months.
Started in 1996, the Sun City brand has provided some of the biggest promotions in Europe for house, r&b, hip hop and garage, attracting a large following of passionate party people out to relive the glory days.
Things kick off on March 14th, with Sun City unleashing their indoor music festival at The Institute in Birmginham. Red Bull Culture Clash runners up Boy Better Know (above) hit the main stage along with Radio 1 Xtra anchor Charlie Sloth (check out 'Look Like' below). Artful Dodger supply the classic UKG element, with the always brilliant Big Narstie hooked in for more high end, grime goodness. Head here for tickets.
Sun City head down south to Oxford on April 25th for their Easter Aftermath special. Landing at the city's o2 Academy, Sun City once again enlist the skills of grime collective Boy Better Know, with MC Pied Piper and Kiss FM's DJ Pioneer also announced. Tickets are available here.
Later in the year, Sun City catch festival fever when they launch their South West Music Festival in Newquay on May 25th, send off summer in Essex on June 13th and in Bristol on June 27th, culminating in their eagerly anticipated 20th Birthday Anniversary in London on September 26th. Details of these last four shows are still under wraps, so watch this space. Head here for more on Sun City.
