Ravin’ Fit is the best way to stay fit and smash your January goals

Sticking to your January goals of getting fit or losing weight isn’t easy. The gym can be a miserable place. But Ravin’ Fit, the workout that feels like a night out, might just be the best way to stay on track.

Let’s not kid ourselves, we’ve all put on a few unwanted pounds over Christmas. When you consider Christmas dinner, the pudding, the numerous alcoholic bevs, the naps and the lounging around in bed or on the sofa until mid-afternoon, it’s no surprise really. It was a lovely indulgent treat that was well overdue, but now January is in full swing and we’ve got resolutions to meet and goals to smash.

A 2020 YouGov poll showed that 50% of people had exercise as their top resolution. And only a measly 8% of people stick to their resolutions. When you think about it, it’s no wonder so few stay on track. Especially when exercise is one of them.

It’s hard to find the time, no one likes getting sweaty, it can feel embarrassing, and the gym might be the most boring, lonely place on the planet for newbies. As you lift weights and exhaust yourself on the treadmill, you can end up wishing you were literally anywhere else. But we might have found the perfect solution…

Last night, Skiddle went down to Ravin’ Fit with Lee Butler. It’s exactly as it sounds. DJ Lee Butler, Liverpool Echo DJ of the year who has played some of the North West's most iconic clubs, spins all your favourite old school rave tunes to a room full of music-loving ravers. But instead of raising a drink and chewing people’s ears off in the smoking area, personal trainer, Antonia Durkin (@antoniadurkin_fitness), keeps you on your toes as you star jump, shimmy, and skip the Christmas calories away.

Not only was the night soundtracked by the insanely talented Lee Butler, but it was an enjoyable, accepting environment for everyone to kick start their weight loss or fitness journey. Or you can simply enjoy it as a healthy night out. It’s the perfect opportunity to revel in some great tunes, stick to dry January and have a cracking night out without breaking the bank.

But bear in mind, as amazing as Ravin’ Fit is, it’s not for the faint of heart. You can expect to burn up to 800 calories in just one hour-long session. But if you’re up to the challenge, you’re certain to have a top night. Everyone left with a smile stretching from ear to ear. And instead of feeling rough and sick, you’ll leave with a rush of endorphins and dopamine, perfect for combating the January blues. You’ll also sleep like a baby when you get home. It’s the perfect night!

Fancy checking out Ravin’ Fit for yourself? Of course, you do, you’re only human! Check out all Ravin’ Fit events here. As you’d expect, tickets are selling fast so snag yours now to kick off the year the right way all while having a laugh and staying fit.
