Reading and Leeds Festival, one of the UK's biggest and best have confirmed on Twitter that the first news of their 2022 edition will be arriving in early December. The 2021 edition boasted the likes of Stomzy, Liam Gallagher and Post Malone as headliners so we can't wait to see what they have in store for 2022.
This has naturally led to whispers about who could be headlining the festival, with the Festival Republic boss Melvin Benn confirming back in August that three of 2022's six headliners had already been booked. One name that is coming up frequently is Arctic Monkeys, which would make sense given that the band's drummer Matt Helders confirmed that they're close to finishing a new album.
They also announced their first live shows since 2019 but you'll have to go far to see them. They'll be playing dates in Bulgaria, Turkey, Croatia and Czech Republic in August 2022, perhaps they're warming up for a big Reading and Leeds slot? Perhaps they'll be playing other big festivals in 2022 such as Glastonbury too, it's good to have the boys from Sheffield back.
But who else could be heading over to Reading and Leeds? Who would you like to see take to one of the biggest stages on the UK festival circuit?
