Reading and Leeds announce 60 new acts

Leeds and Reading install more exciting acts with alt-J, Palma Violets and Drenge all added to the main stage.

With the August Bank Holiday growing ever closer, Reading and Leeds festival have announced over 60 exciting acts to add to Mumford & Sons, The Libertines and Metallica in the headline slots. 

Joining them on the main stage is indie rockers alt-J (below), rock four-piece Palma Violets and grunge brothers Modestep, Gaslight Anthem, Fidlar, Against Me! and Feed the Rhino.

Bolstering the NME/BBC Radio 1 stage are US indie ensembles Parquet Courts and Echosmith. Notable accumulations to that tent also include Twin Atlantic, Spector, The Kwabs and Ghostpoet

Moving over to the BBC Radio 1 dance stage, MK, Jacob Plant, LANY, Oliver Dollar and Charli XCX provide the bulk of the latest announcements for that.

Elsewhere you can expect to see The Smith Street Band, Saint Raymond, Gengahr and Blossoms plus many more acts added to the mammoth billing. For the entirety of the additions head to our Leeds festival guide here and Reading's here
