More festival additions as both the double header of Reading Festival and Leeds Festival announce a raft of names to join both the music and comedy aspects of the festival, by announcing 2013’s Reading and Leeds Alternative Stage line-ups. With the events boasting headliners Green Day, Eminem and Biffy Clyro, as well as the likes of The Deftones, Skrillex, Fall Out Boy and more, there was already fervent excitement for one of the most celebrated of all the British festivals. Today's announcement only serves to ramp that up even further.

The comedians charged with the responsibility of firing the grins and smirks of the festival goers include Russell Kane, Seann Walsh and Rob Delaney, with Kane and Deaney at both festivals and Walsh just a part of the Leeds festival line-up.

Kane is famed for his hosting of TV shows such as ‘Unzipped’ and ‘I’m a celebrity get me out of here now’, with Walsh a frequent guest on the likes of Mock the Week and 8 out of 10 cats and Delaney a seasoned stand-up from the US and the winner of the funniest man on Twitter award. All three are guaranteed to add a side-splitting spectacle to the proceedings.

Musically the big name comes in the shape of underground rapper MF Doom. A figure of huge importance on the underground circuit since his controversial beginnings with KMD, the emcee brought metal masks to the forefront a lot sooner than a certain French duo. Beatbox group Shlomo & the Lip Factory, NYC trio Jeffery Lewis and the Rain and a seventh consecutive year Transgressive & Friends taking over the stage afterhours are among the other additions.
