“An extraordinary widescreen technicolor epic…a stunning record by a stunning band…”
Tom Robinson – BBC 6Music

"Eight-piece orchestral rockers ... who combine the fiery melodrama of Muse with the rousing chamber-pop of Arcade Fire. They could, and should, be huge"
Stephen Dalton – The Times

"A bold and beguiling mix of klezmer, post-rock, gospel and soundtracks." Time Out

REVERE follow up the success of ‘The Escape Artist’ with the announcement that a follow-up single, ‘As the Radars Sleep’, is to be released on Albino Recordings on July 20th.

The new single will be launched at The Lexington, London, on Wednesday July 8th with support from The Strange Death of Liberal England. Produced by Dave Moore and mixed by Anthony Theaker (Hope of the States), ‘As the Radars Sleep’ was first aired live in session on Tom Robinson’s Friday night show on BBC 6Music in April.

Fans will be relieved to hear that ‘…Radars…’ doesn’t stray too far from the Revere blueprint established by ‘The Escape Artist’’. Featuring violin, cello, trumpet, piano, glockenspiel and built on a post-rock chassis, it melds its many influences into the kind of soaring epic that aficionados of Arcade Fire or Jeff Buckley will instantly recognize, but nevertheless has an immediacy that sets it apart.

“It’s probably true that our set doesn’t usually lend itself to radio friendly singles,” frontman Stephen Ellis laughs in agreement. “When your starting point for choosing the next one is a list of seven-minute slow-burning epics inspired by film soundtracks, daytime radio producers must break out in a cold sweat when they hear there’s a Revere release on the way. But ‘..Radars…’ is just about the most immediate song we’ve ever released and the reaction so far from people has been just overwhelming. Every note was fought over, as tends to be the way in a band where eight people have very different ideas about where a song should go, but we’re very happy with where we finally got to.”

Revere opened their 2009 festival season by headlining the ‘BBC Fresh on the Net’ stage on Sunday night at Wychwood, and can also be seen at Standon Calling and touring in July.
