Fabrik, located on the outskirts of Madrid, is widely regarded as one of the best clubs in the world, offering the perfect combination of underground tunes with a warehouse vibe.
And it’s that reputation that encourages 10,000 multinational ravers, to make the journey to the club for its biggest event; ‘Goa’, with a line up worthy of a mini festival, for 12 hours of solid partying and music worshipping.
The crowd who inhabit Fabrik on this night are clearly all about the music and are more than ready to hit the dancefloor.
Heading up the inspiring line up tonight is house and techno legend and Ovum Records boss Josh Wink.
As he takes to the booth at one end of the gigantic club, the atmosphere swells and the excitement rises, whilst Wink mixes his distinctive tech and house beats before passing the torch over to fellow tech master Mark Antona to satisfy the crowd further with his French tinged tunes. This is where the club's impressive sound system comes into its own, blasting out crystal clear music no matter where you’re dancing.
The crowd show no signs of weariness throughout the 12 hour stretch of quality music and the atmosphere never dips. This could be due to the wide variety of music the club offers. If Winks' house and techno isn’t doing it for you in the main room, you can take a little venture to the Crystal Club to experience some deeper house courtesy of Giles Smith and Delano Smith, or head to the upper floor for more techno vibes from Shlomi Aber and Agaric.
As the clubbers continue their onslaught of raving, it’s clear to see why Fabrik deserves its standing at the top of the world’s best clubs lists. The mix of clued-up, eager music fans, line ups that make promoters across the world envious and a venue made for this sort of partying; all contribute to the sort of night you’ll be talking about for a very long time afterwards.
