Tuesdays at Space Ibiza are always big; after all it’s the don himself Mr. Carl Cox and his Music is Revolution night. Carl Cox's party is one of the longest running and most consistent parties in Ibiza and it still manages to draw in a huge crowd every week.

Space seemed busier than ever. As we made our way through the various corridors and up and down the staircases at the venue we were met with options to go into any of five rooms, each offering something different for the electronic music lover. At one point we even bumped into platinum selling UK artist Sam Smith and his friends, right in the thick of it on the open-air roof terrace and enjoying what the night had to offer.

The line up was not one to be sniffed at. From Jon Rundell, Tiana Vulcano and Steve Rachmand to the man himself Carl Cox, who played not only in the main room but at the Sunset Terrace for a surprise set.

However, for us it was all about what was happening on the Terrace. Ambassador of dark, driving techno Nicole Moudaber took over for a three hour back to back set with Skin, the multi-talented Skunk Anansie front-woman in celebration of the collaborative effort on Nicole’s new EP Breed (listen to lead track 'You Like This' below).

Two legendary artists in their own right, Moudaber and Skin have brought together cutting-edge creative and visual aesthetics to ensure Breed is an assault on the senses. The exceptional song writing and performance abilities of Skin married with Nicole’s production talents collaboratively point to Breed being one of the most celebrated, visionary projects in techno.

Both Nicole and Skin entered the Terrace DJ box and oozed effortless cool. Dressed in black, Nicole had her hair (which actually has its own Twitter account FYI) untamed and wild with Skin donning a slick black hat, both filling the room with their presence alone.

On 'Someone Like You', the first single of their collaborative EP Nicole Moudaber and Skin immediately display the production and performance talents they’re renowned for. As opposed to performing the full EP with Skin performing vocals, the duo just take to the decks and treat revelers to a three hour uninterrupted extended variation of tracks from the EP. From deep house to Nicole’s signature techno undercurrent, the Breed set is filled with twists and turns and surprises, which have the whole crowd mesmerized.

The Space dancers take to their podiums either side of Nicole and Skin. Dressed in black leather, slicked up hair, sky-high heels and making shapes that mirror each beat, they complemented the Breed duo perfectly. Minimal lighting, blue neon Breed branding and the obligatory co2 cannons set the mood perfectly. Watching this duo behind the decks you can see the chemistry that this pair have together.

It’s not just your standard set; Nicole and Skin are having as much fun, if not more, than the crowd. Laughing, synchronizing dance moves and even jokingly fist pumping through their three hour set, their energy is so infectious and so refreshing to see. Dark and brooding techno beats, stabbing synths and infectious rhythms encapsulate Nicole and Skin’s vision for future of techno.

From open to close, Nicole and Skin spun their story with a set that had range, delving from ominous with dark beats that would always eventually come up for air. The whole night was a hypnotizing and one hell of a party.

We can’t wait to hear the full EP once its released next month. If this launch was anything to go by then we are definitely in for a treat. Lets hope we see more of Nicole and Skin collaborating together in the studio and behind the decks again very soon. Head here for more on Music is Revolution.
