Concluding his sell-out UK tour on home soil, Tinie Tempah followed his mesmerising show at the O² with an equally star-studded afterparty at super-club Proud 2, courtesy of label collective Disturb London.
Boasting a stellar line-up of hot talent the event included 'Pass Out' producer and 'Earthquake' collaborator Labrinth, support act and rising star Red Light, garage queen Ms Dynamite, and drum & bass dons Chase & Status (DJ Set).
After a number of sterling warm-up DJs as well as an exciting performance from newcomer G FrSH, Tinie’s support act and his dreads Red Light took to the stage for a special one-hour long set, playing his own self-titled genre “not drum & bass, not dubstep, not house – but Redlight”.
The crowd seemed to revel in his fusion of dubby electro and hip hop, and kept us dancing until the main man himself took to the stage. The super-talented artist-producer Labrinth emerged to a roaring crowd as he kicked his set off with a guitar in-hand for an acoustic version of the almighty 'Earthquake'.
He then proceeded to take things up a notch by jumping into a crowd of eager fans; a definite highlight of the hit-filled set! Labrinth certainly entertained with his undeniable talent and proved why he is one to watch.
Finally, old-school garage diva Ms Dynamite worked crowds with her energetic and interactive performance, taking clubbers on a journey through her whopping nine year career, playing old-school classics such as 'Ms Dynamite-e-e' right through to modern hits such as her infectious dancefloor anthem 'Keep on Moving With the Lights On' with DnB songstress Katy B.
The crowd and atmosphere in Proud 2 was enthusiastic from start to finish, and it was great to see so many of Tinie’s mates out to support him, namely Dizzee Rascal, Tinchy Strider, and Wretch 32.
Forget afterparty, for many Do Not Disturb was the main attraction - and a very enjoyable one at that!
