As one of Britain's most important figures in popular music, Rod Stewart has forged a career that has spanned six superlative decades. His work with The Faces initially brought him to the attention of the world, but it was his stunning solo career that gave birth to some of his most potent hits. Having written some of the most enduring songs of all time, Rod has enjoyed no shortage of acclaim and success, with hits like 'Maggie May' being named as one of the most important rock ‘n’ roll songs of all time. Further smashes 'Baby Jane' and 'Some Guys Have All The Luck' (to name just two) cemented his status in pop music folklore, as Rod time and again established himself as a rock icon.

His prominence relentlessly increased throughout the years as he pushed his sound into the realms of folk-rock, jazz, rhythm and blues, even disco, showing his dexterity as a singer, and meeting great success in the process.
In the nineties Rod Stewart’s prowess as a live performer was highlighted once again with MTV’s iconic unplugged series. His 1998 album 'When We Were The New Boys’ - an album where he covered tracks by the likes of Oasis and Primal Scream unleashed him to a new younger audience, continuing the Rod Stewart legacy and picking him up yet more devoted followers.

His talent as a live performer is clearly abundant, and has gone a long way to ensuring his relevance throughout the decades. Just check out his recent performance at The Troubadour (above) to get a feel for that illusive Rod Stewart experience, as the man remains on top of his game, his voice sounding better than ever, and his new material proving a hit with fans and critics.
His recent ‘The Life’ tour was a massive success, showcasing Rod’s evergreen appeal and undoubted skills. The announcement of a further three gigs to be held in Brighton, Blackpool and Stoke provide an exclusive, unmissable chance to witness the man himself in action, as these promise to be the last chance of seeing the living legend perform live for some time.
