With their last event taking place all the way back in Oct 09, Defected in the House are itching to get back onto the circuit with some serious quality house.
And it looks like they've cracked it again, with this stellar line-up. Sandy Rivera, the bad boy of dance behind the house classic 'Finally' headlines. With three albums under his belt, Rivera is one of the halcyon producers of our time - and his tough main room sound makes him simply an unmissable dj.
Next up is another New Yorker, a guy that now has a discerning London following due to his excellent ‘Kiss My Black Ass’ parties. Quentin Harris is a larger than life character; his sound is deep and soulful, hard but always funky. He has chosen this date as the place to unveil his second album Sac-ri-fice, a sexy album that he has produced with some incredible collaborations including legendary divas Inaya Day and Ultra Nate. He will be showcasing tracks for the album in his set.
The final addition to the line-up is the infamous Riva Starr - the darling of Radio 1’s Annie Mac, Pete Tong and every other credible DJ out there - in his MoS debut. He shocked the club world with his brilliant, highly original, gypsy inspired track 'I was Drunk' with Noze, which featured a video of slightly grotesque looking characters. He describes himself as the true ‘mezcla’ - a mixture of all the best things about house music. He has just released his debut mix album: Defected In the House Miami 10.
In the Bar you'll find fashionable West Londoners and Defected newcomers The Jinks, who have teamed up with London scenester James Jackson and the singing and DJing Rae. Finally, listen out for a rare appearance by Zouk (Singapore) international resident djB paying a very special visit to the Ministry of Sound.
