Sankeys Ibiza announce opening week line-ups!

Commencing on Thursday 24th May, the opening week will feature a two part opening party over two consecutive nights hosted by Carnival and Bugged Out! respectively, before launching into the 2012 season with gusto - with three more parties taking place in the first week alone.

Thursday 24th May sees a gargantuan session with guests including Solomun, Tiefschwarz, Guti LIVE, Tobi Neumann, David August, Stimming LIVE and many more, followed by Friday 25th’s Bugged Out! session with Basement Jaxx (DJ set), Booka Shade (DJ set), Joy Orbison, Jackmaster, Mosca, Bones and many more.

This is more that just a statement of intent; Sankeys Ibiza are seriously upping their profile with a full season’s worth of impressive live shows and DJs, which looks set to blow 2011's success clean out of the water.

Saturday 26th sees Mulletover commence at Sankeys with guests TBC, and after a two- day break, the club rounds off its opening brace with Enzo Siragusa and friends at Fuse on Tuesday 29th May.  There’s also a pulsating show to savour on Wednesday 30th with DJ T, Heidi, Matt Tolfrey, Anja Schneider, Sebo K, Wildkats, Alexis Raphael, Krankbrothers and more.

Talking about the forthcoming season at Ibiza's newest club, Sankeys’ director David Vincent says, “We are really upping everything about Sankeys Ibiza, and there are some brilliant names lined up for our season. Everything we’re doing is informed by the club back in Manchester – it’s the same spirit of consistently booking the best underground names and showcasing some great new talent, alongside established stars who understand what Sankeys is about. I’m so excited to be going back and unleashing what we have in store for everyone!”

Sankeys Ibiza has already booked over 100 parties from the leading lights of electronica. It’s a who’s who roster of talent sourced from the finest house and techno exponents, including London’s seminal weekly Sunday session Fuse, the iconic Steve Lawler and his VIVA imprint, Solomun’s revered Diynamic imprint, the island firebrands Monza and in-house session Carnival, who claim to have booked an impressive 90 different artists for the new Saturday session.

There’s much more to come from Sankeys Ibiza – the opening fiesta is just the beginning of a very special season which has got plenty of surprises in store for everyone.
