Last summer saw Manchester's Sankeys launch its sister club in Ibiza, where it enjoyed a huge first season and quickly became the toast of the island's underground scene.

Located in the vibrant Playa D'en Bossa, the club boasts a terrace and basement, and caters for everyone with a varied music policy that saw a host of forward thinking line-ups smash Sankeys' first season on the Island.

Now the club is back for round two, and this summer they're not pulling any punches with 100 heavyweight parties already planned between May 24th to October 9th.

The programme comprises a who’s who of immense talent sourced from the finest house and techno exponents, including revered agency and promoters Air London, seminal Manchester and London based legends Bugged Out!, Sankeys in-house sessions from Carnival, brick lane posse Fuse, Heidi’s famed Jackathon, Junk Department, fresh new sounds from Kaluki, Krankbrother, Matt Tolfrey’s Leftroom, Ibiza icons Monza, long-running warehouse party specialists mulletover, and Steve Lawler's vIVA Music.

It all kicks off on May 24th, with the first in a series of opening fiestas. Tickets are now available through Skiddle, priced at £25.

In realising one of his longest-held ambitions, Sankeys’ director David Vincent undertook a huge challenge in bringing the globally famed club’s ethos from Manchester to the White Isle.

“Last summer was an absolute rollercoaster,” he explains. “I can’t deny there were some tense moments, especially building up to the grand opening weekend when it was all hands on deck and everyone was flat out right until the first people came in.  There was always an element of the unknown coming to Ibiza, but I am happy to say the response last summer was phenomenal.

"Once everything had clicked we realised we had something really unique, especially so from the European and international crowds who showed us incredible support and Ibiza’s workers who were looking for something different. There were some amazing shows throughout the summer, but the last four closing parties were truly magical, from Villalobos and the Monza event to the curtain raiser with Steve Lawler, Enzo Siragusa & Tini.

"I’ve taken a lot of my inspiration for 2012 from those events in seeing what is possible to achieve, and believe I have already booked some even better hosts and resident parties for each week and we have only just begun.”

With Sankeys in Manchester celebrating its 18th anniversary this summer and Sankeys NYC opening soon too, the club continues to evolve and remains one of the world’s foremost bastions of electronic music and culture.
