'Continue' is all about evolution, progression and keeping Sankeys right at the epicentre of what music culture is all about. Music doesn’t stand still, nor do the people who perform at clubs or those who flock to them, and with this in mind Sankeys launch their brand new night.
For the first Continue, this Friday 11th March, Sankeys welcome a line-up of forward thinking intelligent dubstup and future garage to the hallowed Ancoats venue.
Hotflush’s Scuba headlines, offering his revered side project with SCB which explores a techno tip too alongside his usual rave-inducing style. London trio Darksky also star, famed for their twisted takes on rave, with their 2010 Ghost Notes track a wake up call to their huge talents. Nonplus Records founders Intstra:mental loom large, whose acid and hardcore roots have helped create one of the scene’s most forward-thinking labels of recent years. Their Autonomic podcasts champion incredible new sounds, showcasing some of the hottest artists around.
Panagea’s own stock is rather fine too: the firmly established DJ / producer is co- owner of Hessle Audio with other veterans Ramadanman and Ben UFO, and is lauded by discerning dubstep and fans techno as responsible for progressive landmark release including TRG's "Broken Heart" Ramadanman's Blimey "Pangaea own 'Coiled EP" Router "and" You & Me". Manchester’s own XXXY is at the forefront of garage, segueing delicious house vocals together, seamlessly blending styles and genres into his own unique style.
