Summer's gone. Days spent with the grass and sun. But I don't mind… because this weekend there's one final farewell to the sunny season in the form of The Last Day of Summer Festival.
Taking place in Manchester's Castlefield Basin and brought to you by the team behind the wonderful Eurocultured Festival, The Last Day of Summer is a brand new event with one aim in mind: to end the summer break with a smash.
There'll be all sorts going on, with an eclectic fusion of culture, art and music.
Live acts and DJs will perform across three arenas, with DJs set to appear including Zero 7 (DJ set), DJ Zinc, Drumsound and Bassline Smith, Jozef K and lots more. Live performances will come from the likes of Dub Pistols, Iration Steppahs, The Quangos, Ayah Marar and loads more. Check out the Last Day of Summer line up here for full details.
As well as the music, there'll be plenty of live street art, site specific installations, breakdance competitions, giant puppets and lots, lots more.
Tickets are just £11, or an extra £4 will also get you into the after party. Get yours below and join together to wave one final farewell to summer 2011.
