As bastions of playful pop, Scouting for Girls have remained fixtures on the radio playlists of the nation since they first came to attention back in 2007. Whether cracking out their own anthems like ‘Elvis aint dead’ and ‘This aint a love song’, or creating songs for others (the band’s singer/songwriter Roy Stride has also wrote for One Direction, Alexandra burke and Olly Murs), the group have been synonymous with joy drenched music.
They’re set to release their Greatest Hits album at the end of next month, complete with two new records, the first of which is ‘Millionaire’ which also has a new video featuring the smooth moves of up and coming dancer JStepz. The song and the accompanying visual is classic SFG; feel-good and accessible and as a precursor for their summer of festival showcases, a great curtain raiser.
One of those appearances comes at V Festival; the perfect environ for the group’s brand of music.
